Air Plant Care

Got an air plant? Here is how to care for it so it does not die a slow & painful death.

Air Plant Care (aka: How Not to Kill Your Low-Maintenance Plant Friend)
Congratulations, you've adopted the most chill roommate ever. No soil? No drama. Here's how to keep your air plant from ghosting you:

  • Water: Give it a little spa moment once a week. A quick soak in room temp water for 15–30 minutes will do. Shake it off (yes, literally shake it) and let it dry upside down because no one likes soggy feet.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Think “sun-kissed selfie” not “desert survivor.” They also do well in well lit rooms from lighting like offices - so not the dark cobwebbed corner of your basement.

  • Airflow: These babies like to breathe, so skip the dark, stuffy corners.

  • Bonus Love: Talk to it. Compliment it. Mist it occasionally if you're feeling extra.

That's it. No roots, no dirt, no drama
